As this blog was created to host and share the work of students in a course, it seems fitting to include a brief course description:

This semester course will introduce students to the history, beliefs and practices of the world’s major monotheistic faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The course will then explore the role of these faiths in various modern conflicts, ranging from the Israeli/Palestinian conflict to Northern Ireland to clashes between Muslims and non-Muslim tribes in Africa to the “War on Terror” and the United State’s conflict with Iran.
